The lan is now 1 day away and I want to keep every one informed of what's happening, who is coming etc...
There's now 31 confirmed signups for the {dTa} Summer LAN 2005.
I know for a fact some others will be making a day trip to send a day/evening with everyone to meet new faces and have a few beers! Those known so far are CrazyQ and Gr1m.

The lan is just under 4 weeks away and I want to keep every one informed of what's happening, who is coming etc...
Since I last looked at the http://www.clandta.co.uk/lan/attendants.php list it has grown quite rapidly within the last month.
With now 49 sign ups, I know for a fact some can not make it, as well as others who are coming down for 1 day without a PC just to say 'hello'
Can I ask each and everyone on the attendents list to confirm whether they are 'definate', 'maybe' or 'not' coming do we have an idea on numbers.

We've had quite a few confirmed players attending the LAN now, and things are slowly moving in to place.
We have 18 confirmed players whom are staying for the whole weekend (Fri-Sat) coming from all over the UK.
We have 2 confirmed players travelling from abroad staying (Fri-Sat)
We then have a further 2 players who are coming up for a day visit on the Sat
There are still 13 people on maybe (2 of which are 90% certain)
I've just come off the phone with Lumi and discussed details regarding spare PC's, TO servers and networking, we have the following:
SPARE PC's
1 x Shuttle PC
- Pentium 4
- 3gig
- nVidia 6600GT
- 17" flat screen
1 x Shuttle PC
- Pentium 4
- 3gig
- onboard GFX2 (bring own agp GFX card)
- 19" CRT
These 2 pc's will be for xplicit and trigga coming from abroad.
We can however get hold of a further 5 if necessary!!
SO IF ANY IS INTERESTED COMING FROM ABROAD we can easilly supply PC's
AoT SERVERS
We will be running 3 TO servers; 2 of which are Pentium 4's - 3 gig and another on a high-spec laptop.
We'll be supplying a d-link 1x8 port, 4x5 port and a 12 port - which will more than cover the attending computers.
We will have some network cables, and spare M's but it would be advised for everyone to bring their own cable and power multi-adapters just incase (better safe than sorry).
I hope that clears things up; like I said there is still room for plenty of more people (the venue is big) and those interested in coming from abroad will be supplied PC's no problem (and get half-price entry fee)

The third dTa LAN is only around the corner!
Theres been a few changes since last year, the big factor being the cost.
It will now be £40, all inclusive (bed and breakfast)
However, foreigners only have to pay £20 or possibly nothing depending on how many come to the lan and how much cash we have spare.
We have around 20 spare monitors for those having trouble bringing all their equipment to the lan, and we are looking to get around 6 complete systems for those coming from abroad or long train journeys.
Bring ya Summer gear and get ready for a game of football and other social events, hopefully Zibutcher wont be knocked out and have the ball spanked up his backside by 10 different people! | | |
